Today’s trip was, as planned, down as far as the Lime Kilns pub on the A5 near Hinckley where we shall remain until Monday at least. This gave us the opportunity to do the weekend shop and tomorrow I’ll visit the local leisure centre for a swim.

Leaving Sutton Wharf was a shame in some respects as we seemed to have moored at an ideal location for viewing the local water voles (photo & video) just by looking out of our kitchen window, it was almost like having a wildlife hide.
