Once again a bit of a change of plan, the current aim is to
get up towards Chester by the end of this month and, having done a bit of
calculating, we are a bit ahead of schedule. To this end we need to take a few
days out on the way (it will take us 9 days to get to our destination and there
are currently 14 days to the end of the month). As a result today was decided
to be one of the ‘days off’ so although we haven’t travelled I have taken some
time to do a bit of titivating up of the boat, basically to try to complete the
painting that I started last year. Have also got to work with the T Cut to try
to clean off a few stains on the paintwork of the boat. Finished off with a
quick bit of maintenance of the engine (check gearbox oil level and refill the
stern gland greaser).
Tomorrow however we will be on our way to Stone.
