After letting the rain shower pass through we’ve had a gentle trip to Penkridge arriving just in time for lunch (as another rain cloud passed through). I’ve now picked up our train tickets to get back home next month. Bought a couple more pairs of boating gloves from the local farmer’s shop, which I hope will be better quality than the one’s I got from the basin, which ripped the first time I used and and, although I tried to repair them, continued to rip further. The only additional item needed tomorrow morning is a loaf of bread from the excellent brad shop here, Jasper’s, before we head off towards Tixall Wide.
